Few days before I just come across a beautiful pink skinned fruit and I thought of giving it a try.It looked very attractive and I was amazed to know the health benefits it holds in it ,well I am talking about none other than a Dragon fruit which is also known as Pitaya and has its origin in South America. Hence it is not an Indian fruit and it is imported from different countries.
⇒ Let’s see the health benefits of Dragon Fruit/Pitaya-
It is white in color from inside and has tiny – tiny black seeds somewhat like a seeds in kiwi fruit. As I have come to know a lot of health benefits of dragon fruit so I wanted to give it a try. It is tasteless but has a lot of heath benefits. Let’s see few of them one by one –
- Helps in curing stomach problems – Dragon fruit helps in curing several stomach problems such as indigestion and constipation.
- Prevents Cancer – Dragon fruit is loaded with lot of anti-oxidants which helps in prevention of cancer causing free radicals.
- Improves Immune system – High Vitamins and mineral content in dragon fruit (Vitamin B1, B2, B3 and C, Calcium, Phosphorous, Protein, Iron and Fiber ) helps in improving immune system.
