Health Benefits of Dragon Fruit

Hello everyone,welcome to glitters all that.How are you all,hope fine. So here I am with a new and amazing post. Few days before I just come across a beautiful pink skinned fruit and I thought of giving it a try.It looked very attractive and I was amazed to know the health benefits it holds in it ,well I am talking about none other than a Dragon fruit which is also known as Pitaya and has its origin in South America. Hence it is not an Indian fruit and it is imported from different countries.

Let’s see the health benefits of Dragon Fruit/Pitaya-

It is white in color from inside and has  tiny – tiny black seeds somewhat like a seeds in kiwi fruit. As I have come to know a lot of health benefits of dragon fruit so I wanted to give it a try. It is tasteless but has a lot of heath benefits. Let’s see few of them one by one –

  1. Helps in curing stomach problems – Dragon fruit helps in curing several stomach problems such as indigestion and constipation.
  2. Prevents Cancer – Dragon fruit is loaded with lot of anti-oxidants which helps in prevention of cancer causing free radicals.
  3. Improves Immune system – High Vitamins and mineral content in dragon fruit (Vitamin B1, B2, B3 and C, Calcium, Phosphorous, Protein, Iron and Fiber ) helps in improving immune system.
  4. Good for heart – Dragon fruit helps in reducing cholesterol level which helps in promoting healthy heart.
  5. Skin aging – High antioxidants as well as vitamin and mineral helps in reducing the aging effect and makes the skin look tighter and younger.
